Hermo Haul!

As I’ve mentioned in previous post, here are items from my Hermo.my haul! I swear this beauty site is so addictive that I rarely leave the site without at least putting some items to the chart lol #sorrynotsorry

Anyway, this is my second time shopping on Hermo already and must say their customer service is tip top! Inquired them about my Laneige’s Cleansing Oil and they responded in less than 24hrs! And when the item arrived, they totally put an effort and comply to my request by double bubble-wrapped it. What I really like about Hermo is their efficient delivery too. Ordered their items on Thursday, items being wrapped and posted to post office on the same day, and the next day it is on my doorstep already. So convenient right?

Etude House’s AC Clean Up Pink Powder Spot!ย ย If you are confused, there are 2 layer of this product, pink and clear layer. What you gotta do is take a dab of it with cotton budย without shaking and apply it evenly on the pimple, note that it works wonder on pimple ready to be popped? Get what I mean? I have tried this product on new freshly acne and it did not work but some review said it works wonder on few days old pimple so maybe gotta try that next time.

ETUDE HOUSE’s Wonder Pore range. I really like the toner/freshener! I’ve been meaning to search for good toner to replace my ‘ol Clean n Clear toner, mind that toner does not cause redness on my face. I’ve tried several drugstores brand like Garnier toner, Clean n Clear, Oxy and all of them were so harsh and cause horrible redness around my face. I decided to try my hand on this ETUDE HOUSE’s Wonder Pore toner and it was not disappointing. It was so light and refreshing and most of all, does not dried out my face. My face appear less oily for the rest of the day! Damn happyy ๐Ÿ˜€

Sadly, the cleanser does not really works wonder. Well, now I incorporated double cleansing so first step is my Laneige’s Cleansing oil to scrub away any dirts, sebum and followed by this Wonder Pore’s deep foaming cleanser. The effect was amazing. It clears up my cystic acne that has been lingering on my face for over a month. I’ve tried this Wonder Pore’s cleanser alone and it was not really working well, caused breakout on my face. But when I use it as double cleanser, it works pretty good together with the Laneige’s cleansing oil!

I need to thank the stars above the day I found out about this cleansing oil. Actually, my encounters of double cleansing came by unexpectedly. My boyf’s sister left her leftover She Uemura’s cleansing oil, I did not bring my face cleanser that time so I thought, this cleansing oil will do. I was amazed by how bright and clean my face was. At first, I thought my face was already oily so why smeared more oil? Little did I know, oil cleansing works wonder to cleanse out dirts, sebum, and even blackheads, things what foam cleanser could not do, how I wish I knew this earlier. I browsed Hermo and they have this Laneige’s Fresh Brightening Cleansing Oil on trial size so I decided to gave it a try (partly becoz Shu Uemura’s Cleansing Oil range was so pricey lah!)

Anyway, I was so amazed with this Laneige’s Cleansing Oil after I finished out the trial bottle, I bought the full size one! My face has never been better.

Nature Republic’s Aloe Vera must-haves!! My first trying out their best-seller’s ย Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel! It was a multi-function gel that I can use almost for anything. Face pack, moisturiser, as a hair serum to helps prevent dry ends and split ends, and sometimes I dab it to my arms and hands to give a cooling effect and to protect my skin from prolonged exposure of harmful stuffs, like pollution, UV Rays and stuff. I found that the mist and gel almost have similar function, just a little bit different in terms of practicality. I like the mist version better because I can pop it in my bag and use it whenever I’m in need of something to soothe off my skin when I’m on the go or just to refresh me on hot and sunny weather in Malaysia. (psst, the mist is not oily and gets absorbed really well too, just like the gel version)

The gel version I normally use before sleep as a face pack and I wakes up with soft and dewy feeling on my face. I like :3

So yeah that’s basically simple review of my Hermo’s Haul! I really appreciate Hermo for taking an extra effort to bringing us beauty products with affordable price (even cheaper than store prices!) and I applaud their customer service and their efficiency on their service. Not a day goes by without me checking out Hermo’s site lolol def not good for my wallet ๐Ÿ™

Star Wars: 40th Anniversary Celebration @ Sunway Pyramid!

Boyfriend is a huge fan of Star Wars so right after we had our Seoul Garden buffet dinner, we headed down to this Star Wars 40th Anniversary Celebration, just right in front of Seoul Garden, so very convenient yo! Along the time while we were eating, it was quite distracting as the event was very near to the restaurant so it was very loud and clear lolol. Half of the time besides eating I was also diligently listening to what the MC said #sokaypoh ahaha.

#THEFORCEIS40

The Force Awakens! Chewie is my fav character as usual <33

Princess Leia ๐Ÿ™ it is just heartbreaking that we will never get to see Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia ever again.

Luke Skywalker!

Real life Yoda statue.

Real life BB-8 statue.

classic, ”Luke, I’m your father..” comes to mind everytime I see Darth Vader hahaha. And don’t forget that epic orchestra song that plays everytime he appears.

Spamming with BB-8 pics just becoz I can lolol! :p

The lego one does not come from the same event laa but because they are celebrating the same Star Wars 40th Anniversary, so it is the one that counts right? I prefer the lego version actually.

Got selling mini muffin too! Quite reasonable price and now I’m regretting why I didn’t buy this when I had the chance argh.

Ballpen for RM 19??! Well I’m no one to talk since I willingly spent RM 50 for TsumTsum ballpen.

Recreating Star Wars’s scene made with Lego.

It was a fun event, but sadly they were already on the end of the event already when we came to take a look so not much to see in terms of performance etc. Hope to see this event again next year!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Suits Obsession!

This series has been keeping me up all night for the past week and I love love love every episodes! My boyf got himself a Netflix account, sharing the subscription fee with his friends, and of course being a good girlfriend I am, I asked for his Netflix account lol.

There are few things I have to write it out as my obsession with this series grow bigger and bigger each day hahah. By the way, I just finished season 5 yesterday, and season 6 is not available on Netflix yet (why??!), zz what a cliffhanger, and premieres of season 7 is on July! Like, maybe I should just torrent it??

So basically, this lawyer TV series is the first serious TV series I’ve ever watched in my entire life. Normally, I would refrain watching serious TV series because I don’t wanna work and squeeze the nerve on my brains out while watching a TV series, so I would usually watches light and comedy TV series like Two and a Half Men, HIMYM, TBBT, New Girl, etc but it is happened that I came across Suits on Netflix and intrigued with the description that goes along with it,

”When he impresses a big lawyer with his razor-sharp mind, a college dropout scores a coveted associate job, even though he has no legal credentials.”

And just that, I found myself clicked the first episode, and 2nd episode, 3rd episode, oh you know where this is going la. My sem break spent marathon-ing Suits.

One of many things I like about this TV Series, the topic centered around very heavy topic one, like lawyer, politics, money laundering, justice and blahblahdiblah but somehow, I don’t find it hard to understand at all. Erm, it is also funny because this sem I also got Law on my module, and sometimes I find few terms explained by my teacher at uni also appeared on Suits haha. I was like, ”Wah why so similar one ah? Like I’ve heard it before..” then I looked up on my textbook and found similar law term lolol. Was joked with boyf how I’m not gonna need to study law for exam later becoz I got Suits to cover it up muahaha (just kidding!)

This series centers on Mike Ross, a brilliant college dropout with photographic memory that happened to amuses Harvey Specter, a big hotshot senior partner on one of the biggest law firm in NYC, and hired him to become an associate at the firm even though Mike does not have a law degree (never even attended one!) let alone from Harvard Law School because the firm only hires from Harvard. So, this series shows Mike as an associate while Harvey tries to covers it up that he just brought in a fraud as an associate. Not gonna give you any spoilers but gotta tell you few occasions Mike’s disguise as a fake Harvard’s graduant almost busted.

Few of my favourite images/GIFS (courtesy from Tumblr)

#TeamMarvey foreverย โ™ฅ

can we please make #Darvey ย a couple alreadyyy??? Okay no offence, I like Scottie, but Donna is just perfect pair for Harvey. Stop playing with our feelings, scriptwriter ๐Ÿ™ #TeamDarveyShipper

I might considered to get one of this ‘‘You Just Got LITT Up” mug hahaha. Found few deals on Amazon/Ebay need to hold on tight to my money leh. But it is so adorable I can not.

GEEZZZ COULD THIS BE ANY MORE ADORABLEEE? #WelcomeToTeamLitt

Dem feelssss.

Okay, I think I’ve talked t0o much about my Suits’s obsession hahaha just watch it if you haven’t laa. <333 Don’t blame it on me if you got hooked alright? :3

Wong Kok + Llaollao + Tan Ngan Lo Herbal Jelly

Today is the eve of PH (Wesak Day) so we strolled around Sunway Pyramid to have our dinner.

Wong Kok Char Chan Teng is our my favourite place for the time being! Love them because their price always so reasonable (psst, even cheaper than OldTown, and with more varieties, count me in!!) They gives out coupons for free side dishes every RM 20 purchase, so imagine how many coupons I’ve collected already haha! I think I got about 5-6 coupons already! This month’s special is Wong Kok’s specialty deep fried chee cheong fun (rice noodle roll) with super shiok dressing sauce! Telling you, it was really really damn good, I even had to lick the sauce clean off the ย plate.

We always ordered a set meal because it’s value for money! Comes with fruits, drinks and soup.

Bosch soup! I remember cooked various types of soups back then semester 1, when we had cooking class, ย and this soup is one of them. Some kind of tomato paste soup, pour everything in, slow cook, and there you have it! ๐Ÿ˜€

Fried noodle with bitter melon! So much of this that I have to pass it on to K! That’s the main purpose of bf right! Finishing off stuffs you can not hehehe.

K’s noodle with Taiwanese fried chicken. Did not get to taste this, though.

Stopped by at Tan Ngan Lo Herbal Jellyย because I said we eats too much heaty stuffs, so must balance ma! Ehehe. Ate this halfway then only remember to snap a pic so was like, ” EH! Must take photo first!” then quickly took out my camera hahaha. #TypicalAsian

First time tried LlaoLlao Yoghurt and also first thing that strike my mind was,

”WHY THE SPOON SO LONG ONE EH??” haha but seriously, you all see it too right? Why need to be so long ah? Anyone knows??

Almost poked out our eyeballs seeing the price list! Sadly I forgot to snap a pic on the menu to give you guys a look but its around RM 10-20 well depends on what toppings you choose la. Funny story, we bought this because when we inserted the parking ticket, the amount displayed was RM 4, then we had that look.. like 10 secs? Then it strike us that today was the eve of PH, so they charged the parking fee higher. Zzz. Was running around AsianAvenue zone to look for things to purchase because we do not have any small changes, so we can pay parking, then finally settled on LlaoLlao! I’ve decided to just buy the cheapest one hahaha with add on RM 1.50 for 1 type of sauce (picked chocolate sauce)

It tastes pretty good by the way, but don’t think we will be a frequent customer laa. Once in awhile maybe still OK!

Okay, tomorrow is PH so rest well everyone! I have French midterm coming up on Thursday, so I guess gonna spend it to revising. Zzz so lame.

P.S: Edits all the photos using free app Fotor, coz I do not have Adobe Photoshop installed yet. Not too shabby right? Some professional reviewers also said Fotor is like simplified Photoshop. OK law coz I don’t use Photoshop much to do extreme editing, so Fotor already sufficient enough! But I still prefer PS more actually, you get what I mean? Hahaha.

Sunday Day Out!

KW was telling me that he had a RM 33 for 2 Kenny’s Roger set meal voucher from Watsons voucher booklet and we agreed to redeem it today. My very first time ever dine in at KRR’S whole this time.

The pasta and chicken set meal was very worth it with the voucher coz when we looked up on the menu, the original price was RM 27-ish something for 1 plate! And we only got to pay RM 33 for 2 set of meal! So so happy ๐Ÿ˜€

Set meal comes with this super yummy homemade muffin! Was telling K how good it is when I saw other table beside us did not even bother to touch the muffin and just leave it like that and almost tempted to go grab it hahaha. By the way, you also can pick the muffin’s flavours. Mine and K’s are chocolate raisin muffin.

KW’s platter! We got to pick 1 side dishes, and he chose mixed fruit platter, beef bolognaise/cream cheese pasta, he opt for cheese one but I went eeekk because cheese and pasta.. really? , 1 homemade muffin and 1 type of beverages. So worth it right?

My platter consist of chicken (thigh, my fav part!). beef bolognaise spaghetti, a bit undercooked but still fine, and 1 side dish mashed potato and gravy.

At Yubiso. Are they come from same company like Daiso or what? I think I prefer Yubiso better coz their beauty products seems not bad with affordable prices too (RM 10-20 price range)

DOMOKUN mini backpackkk! *screams internally*

At newly opened KOI cafe at Sunway Pyramid! My dad was a big fan of KOI’s Macchiato drinks and I remember telling him that KOI gonna open a branch soon in Malaysia and he was like, ”Eh? Now only open ah? Jakarta so long already got KOI leh..” LOL talk until so proud meh? Haha.

My passion fruit macchiato! Now I know why this is their best-seller product! So creamy and when you slightly stir the cream, it mixes well with your drink! So so good ๐Ÿ™‚

School starts to get busier with bunch of final sem projects to be done (mostly Elective modules) and preparing for midterm exams that coming up in the next 2 weeks! In fact, I got one already next week, French test! I haven’t do any revision geez no excuse to slack anymore!!

Sozo Japanese Restaurant review @ Sunway Giza Mall

I have always been a fan of buffet (who doesn’t?) The idea of stuffing yourself with so many varieties of foods to choose from always makes me happy.
Malaysia spoil me with different choices of buffet restaurants, even the most bizzare buffet I couldn’t even think of (durian buffet.. eekkk!) shabu-shabu, steamboat, dimsum, western, pasta, japanese, well you name it. I have tried most of ’em and I should say I’m gonna miss all of those when I going back for good.
Sozo Japanese Restaurant @ Sunway Giza Mall is newly player when it comes to Japanese buffet. Japanese restaurants has been mushrooming in Selangor area recently and they even come up with clever idea, Japanese ala-carte buffet! Y know, if you visit Japanese restaurants frequently (Sakae Sushi, Sushi Tei, Sushi King, etc) it can cost a bomb to order even few dishes only. And that is when Japanese buffet restaurants come in rescue hahaha. The old-fashioned japanese buffet (by old-fashioned I mean those pre-cooked foods in mass and keep in warmer, that you need to queue with aunties, not to mention you don’t have any idea how long those foods have been sitting there) like Shogun, Saisaki, and Janggun (tried all of ’em, and it was pretty awful) are the first pioneer of Japanese buffets restaurants in Malaysia.
Having a pretty bad experience with those buffet restaurants (diarrhea, food taste weird and cold, and expensive price) I was craving for something new. Ala-carte Japanese buffet is the answer, because:
  1. It was cooked upon order, so you are guaranteed to get a freshly-cooked and warm food in your table.
  2. The price is cheaper, much much cheaper compare with Shogun or Jogoya and surprisingly it tastes much better and yummier.
  3. No more fighting to take foods with aunties (yeah kiasu aunties, i’m looking at ya) those who pilled up their plates with foods enough for whole kampong and ended up being wasted.. it hurts my heart pretty badly seeing that. ๐Ÿ™
  4. Reducing the chance of food wasted. Y know, because it’s prepared upon order and the portion is smaller. No more being greedy and stacking up your plates with foods you don’t intend to eat in the end. This gives you room to sample more foods too.
My senior asked me out to try Sozo and by hearing two words that i like so much, buffet and japanese, I immediately agree. And boy, it was definitely a feast to remember. ๐Ÿ˜€

Sashimi! An all-time favorite and must have. I’m glad the sashimi was fresh and not too thick on the cutting. It was just nice.

forgot the name, but i think this was bamboo clam stir-fry thingy. I am not really a fan and this his order, he ate even before i got a chance to snapped a photo. T.T

soft shell crab mango salad with special sauce. I finished the soft shell but leave the veggies to him hahaha.
salmon carpachio. Not too my liking, I prefer raw sashimi. Yasss..
We still sample a lot more foods than these, but unfortunately my phone battery died so I had to stop snapping photos. But overall, 8/10 for the rating. Some things need to be improved, like the ordering system, they delivered the wrong orders sometimes and even forget to delivering some of our orders. And, ice cream replenished slowly. Out of 3 ice cream tubes, 2 of ’em almost finish already but still remain that way until the last order.
More info you can check out:
(by the way, you can check out their menu for actual price of each foods you have to spend if you were to pay for each of it. It’s awesome, you get to know if you already gain back your buffet money or not hahaha. My kiasuness reigns!)

    the voice within.

I have never found a song that every words of the lyric describing me so perfectly as this song. This song has give me strength for all these years I have been dealing with so many things. I have made mistakes, I did stupid things, there are waay to many things that I wish I did not do, and oh how I wish that time machine were invented. But I have learned a hard way, and I am glad this song has encourage me to stay true to myself. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Young girl, don’t cry
I’ll be right here when your world starts to fall
    Young girl, it’s alright
Your tears will dry, you’ll soon be free to fly

When you’re safe inside your room you tend to dream
Of a place where nothing’s harder than it seems
No one ever wants or bothers to explain
Of the heartache life can bring and what it means

    When there’s no one else
    Look inside yourself
    Like your oldest friend
    Just trust the voice within
    Then you’ll find the strength
    That will guide your way
    You’ll learn to begin
    To trust the voice within

    Young girl, don’t hide
You’ll never change if you just run away
    Young girl, just hold tight
And soon you’re gonna see your brighter day

Now in a world where innocence is quickly claimed
It’s so hard to stand your ground when you’re so afraid
No one reaches out a hand for you to hold
When you’re lost outside look inside to your soul

    When there’s no one else
    Look inside yourself
    Like your oldest friend
    Just trust the voice within
    Then you’ll find the strength
    That will guide your way
    You will learn to begin
    To trust the voice within

    Yeah…
    Life is a journey
It can take you anywhere you choose to go
    As long as you’re learning
You’ll find all you’ll ever need to know (be strong)
    You’ll break it (hold on)
    You’ll make it (be strong)
    Just don’t forsake it because
(No one can tell you what you can’t do)
No one can stop you, you know that I’m talking to you

    When there’s no one else
    Look inside yourself
    And like your oldest friend
    Just trust the voice within
    Then you’ll find the strength
    That will guide your way
    You will learn to begin
    To trust the voice within

    Young girl don’t cry
I’ll be right here when your world starts to fall

    eargasm. :)

I was maybe one hella lucky kid to have parents with such an awesome music taste. Many years ago, before the era of Youtube, internet, and music streaming exist, my mom and dad already have a stack of old cassettes , vinyl records, and tapes that will be considered rare for now. But, sadly we lost all of ’em when we moved to the new house. Me and my brother get exposed to Madonna,  Oasis, The Real Thing, and Michael Jackson since we were a toddler haha..

I managed to ask my mum about some of her favorite 80s-90s tracks and look it up on Spotify. Share it with you guys here..

Will keep updating so if you guys like it can subscribe to my spotify playlist above! Ciao ๐Ÿ˜€

    Saturday.

It was Saturday morning as normal as it can get to be, I was minding my own business while my favorite channel HBO Hits re-broadcasted my favorite movie ever since I was at 7th grade, ”10 Things I Hate About You”   it’s been quite some time since the last time I watched it, and I got pretty excited I just got to write about it. ๐Ÿ˜€

Here is what makes me feel so happy everytime I watch this movie
    •  Set in 99’s which means; checkered shirts, ripped jeans, shorty bob haircuts, music gigs, and…. first spotted Joseph-Gordon Levitt in this movie and he did not really catch my eyes in this movie. Puberty hit him then boom…!
    • Heath Ledger. Heath Ledger, Heath Ledger… do I need to say more? He was sucha hottie..
    • lots and lots of pretty clique scenes. unexpected kissing scene in the car, asking the girl out by giving some public humiliation (although it is Heath Ledger, i really don’t mind obviously..)
    •  end of the movie kissing scene just so……. you guys know which one i’m talking about rite? :p

I personally love the story plot, although it is kinda predictable. And the soundtracks was just too good and so refreshing.

Anyway,  I have just grow a liking towards Girls’ Generation *cough* future SONES *cough* I forgot how and when exactly but little did I know, I just can’t stop to play some of theirs songs (ITNW, Gee, Oh!, Paparazzi, Divine)I deserve rotten tomatoes to throw because I used to say meh about korean pop music and judging them only depends on skinny thighs and plastic barbie face. Yeah.. I guess everything that too much is not always good haha i just can not stop dancing around and singing along now. :3

    xx
